Cntxt Labs (pronounced “context”)
A software company, based in New Zealand the most beautiful place in the world.
Cntxt Labs is a small software company, founded by Cristian Rus in 2017. We design and build apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, for the web and for Android, and more than 1.75 million people around the world have downloaded them.
For more than ten years our work has been about how design changes what people do. We pick an everyday problem, build the simplest thing that solves it, and keep improving it for as long as people rely on it.
Left helps people see their time. txtpod turns reading into listening. SafePlate replaces the paper food safety diary in New Zealand kitchens. KiwiCamping and AussieCamps help people find a place to camp and plan the road trip around it, and NoSnus helps people stop using nicotine pouches.
Most of our apps run on your phone, need no account and do not track you. When an app needs more than that, its own privacy policy says exactly what it does and why.
Alongside our own apps, we design and build apps and websites with a small number of other teams. If you have something in mind, write to us. The address is read every day by the people who do the work.
